LYON COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY 72TH ANNUAL MEETING

Please join us for the 72th annual meeting of the Lyon County Historical Society. There will be a short business meeting with a vote on proposed By-Law changes and for new members of the LCHS Board of Directors. After the business portion, we will then follow with Helen Ericson’s “If quilts could Talk” presentation as
part of our monthly Tuesday Night at the Museum programming.

2010 LCHS Speaker Series
Please join us the 2nd Tuesday of each month
March 9 Jesse Solis
will present “The History of Las Casitas Park and Southwest Emporia”.
April 13 Vernon (Rick) Buck
1st Assistant County Attorney, will present a program relating to the
work he does in Lyon County.
Talks are free of charge and take place at 7:00 PM at the
Lyon County Historical Museum, 118 E 6th Ave Phone: 620-340-6310
The speaker series is underwritten through the generosity of the
Mary Louise Meder Foundation.
The Lyon County Historical Society is pleased to announce the recent generosity of Mary Louise Meder. Ms Meder left the LCHS a sizeable amount of money. The bulk of this gift will be put into our endowment fund with the remainder to be used to purchase much needed supplies and to endow the Tuesday Night at the Museum speaker series.
